Much of our season is based in literature and/or visual art – Carmen is based upon Prosper Mérimée’s novella and our world premiere A Blizzard in Marblehead Neck is based upon an episode in playwright Eugene O’Neill’s life. I am an avid reader – particularly when preparing for an upcoming production – and with the holidays fast approaching, I thought it might be appropriate to provide a winter book list for our readers and audience members.
