In addition to the occasional guest blogger, these are the primary faces behind the posts:
June is a born-and-raised Central New Yorker. She attended SUNY Oneonta where she studied Music Industry, Communication Studies, Audio Arts Production and Advertising. June, her fiancé, Aaron, and their daughter, Makayla, recently bought a house in the one place she swore she would never live – her hometown! She considers herself to be the frugalista of Glimmerglass. She studies the difference between department, discount and dollar stores and knows which retailers have the best deals. Her thrifty ways prove quite useful working in non-profit.
Brittany joined Glimmerglass from South Florida, though her lack of a tan suggests otherwise. When she’s not at Glimmerglass working on all things public relations, she’s working as a group fitness instructor at the local fitness center.
Thanks to Kelley, who has more than 17 seasons with the company, you do not have to be fluent in Italian to laugh along with La Cenerentola or to cry along with La Traviata: she provides English translations that are projected over the stage for each performance. As dramaturg, she also provides writing and research for company publications and productions. She splits her time between Manhattan and the Otsego County hamlet of Roseboom. When not in the theater or in rehearsal, Kelley is at war against the dandelions occupying her garden. Though she has recently taken the extreme measure of eating their young, their weedy takeover efforts continue undaunted. She balances the violence inherent to her agricultural pursuits by teaching yoga to company members and local residents.
