Young Artists Program Auditions
Thank you to all those who applied; the deadline has passed. Applications for the 2015 season will posted around August 1, 2014.
All applications must be completed online at YAPTracker.com. Chosen through a series of competitive national auditions, Young Artists will have the opportunity to perform and cover roles in mainstage productions. Young Artists will also have the opportunity to work with an Artist in Residence. Artists in Residences have included Deborah Voigt, Eric Owens, Julie and Nathan Gunn and Christine Goerke.
Auditions will be held in New York, Chicago, Cincinnati and Houston. Application deadlines vary by city, so please read all instructions carefully. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Applicants must be United States citizens or have the right to work in the United States. Non-U.S. citizens must send a photocopy of documentary proof of right to work (Note: Canadians may gain the right to work by joining Canadian Federation of Musicians and applying for a P2 Visa. This process is completed after successfully securing a contract with The Glimmerglass Festival and will be done at your own expense).
Young Artists are provided with a weekly stipend, housing and meals. They receive regular musical coaching and have the opportunity to perform in a series of concerts throughout the season. Please note that The Glimmerglass Festival is located in a rural environment and subject to allergens and pollen.
The online application will be accessible through this webpage once available. Please direct any questions to email@example.com.
