2011 Young Artists

Every summer approximately 35 singers join The Glimmerglass Festival’s acclaimed apprenticeship program. The program provides training and experience for talented singers in the early stages of their professional career.

In 2011, Glimmerglass Young Artists work with world-renowned soprano Deborah Voigt, who joins the company as the inaugural Artist in Residence. The 2011 Young Artists will perform in mainstage productions, as well as Arias and Asides, Meet Me at the Pavilion and more. New this summer, on August 5 see a special matinee performance of Carmen, performed entirely by members of the Young Artists Program.
