Annie Get Your Gun

July 16 - August 21

An unsophisticated sharpshooter learns the ways of love and show business in this wildly popular musical. Based on the real-life romance of Annie Oakley and Frank Butler, Annie Get Your Gun contains some of Irving Berlin's best-known tunes: "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better," "I Got Lost in His Arms," "There's No Business Like Show Business" and many more. It is the greatest box-office success of Berlin's stellar Broadway career, the only one of his shows with an initial run of more than 1,000 performances.

As part of the company’s mission to produce new, little-known and familiar operas and works of music theater, The Glimmerglass Festival offers an annual production of an American musical theater piece performed in the way it was first heard. Join us as we begin a new tradition of great American musicals at Glimmerglass, performed with full orchestra and unamplified voices. Read a synopsis...
