What to See in 2024

In the summer of 2024, the Festival offers productions of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, Cavalli’s La Calisto, Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, and Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell’s Elizabeth Cree. In addition, we offer a world premiere youth opera, Rumpelstiltskin and the Unlovable Children by Jens Ibsen and Cecelia Raker and an exciting new works initiative called Project Pipeline curated by Artistic & General Director Rob Ainsley.

Rob Ainsley, Artistic & General Director

Robert Ainsley joins the Festival as Artistic & General Director. Rob recently served as the Director of the Washington National Opera’s Cafritz Young Artists Program and the American Opera Initiative, where he commissioned, developed, and premiered more than 30 new operas, songs, and more by leading artists.
