The 2013 Festival features three opera productions, a great American musical, and a full slate of special concerts and Meet Me at the Pavilion performances from some of opera's brightest stars.

The Flying Dutchman

Inspired in part by a harrowing ocean voyage, Wagner based his fourth opera on the story of a ghostly vessel doomed to traverse the seas for eternity. In The Flying Dutchman the ship’s captain finds redemption when a young woman proves her love by abandoning her life for him. [More Information]


Passions and chivalry rule King Arthur's court in Lerner & Loewe's popular and tuneful musical version of "The Once and Future King." Starring 2013 Artist in Residence Nathan Gunn. [More Information]

King for a Day

Acting as a decoy for the king, a royal stand-in unites two young lovers and secures a bride of his own in Verdi's rarely seen Comic opera. [More Information]


Love and loss echo through two powerful one-acts in this exciting juxtaposition of the 18th- and 21st-century musical masterpieces: David Lang's "the little match girl passion" and Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater." [More Information]
