Boston Lyric Opera opens its production of Idomeneo this evening. It runs through May 4.
Our very own Music Director, David Angus, is conducting, and the production utilizes scenery and costumes that originated at Glimmerglass Opera in 2007.

Wasn’t Idomeno in 2006? My first summer was 2007 and that was the summer of Orpheus.
Hi Rose, Boston Lyric Opera presented their production of “Idomeno” on our Gluck/Berlioz “Orphee et Eurydice” from 2007, so you probably saw it. They used it for a completely different opera.
