Program Book
The Glimmerglass Festival distributes a program at each performance, offering an in-depth look at the Festival season, creative processes and more, and is complimentary for our audience members as they attend the Festival July 8 – August 21.
The Glimmerglass Festival, located in Cooperstown, New York, sells more than 30,000 tickets each summer to opera and arts events. During the busy summer months in Cooperstown, more than 50 percent of our audience typically travels from outside of Otsego County, with almost 30 percent from outside of New York State. Our audience is a combination of returning opera and musical theater lovers and those experiencing the Festival for the first time.
Our Program Book is often kept as a souvenir, making it the perfect resource for our patrons to discover your establishment. The book is also distributed to a variety of businesses around Otsego County during the area’s busy summer season.
We appreciate your support of The Glimmerglass Festival and are excited to extend this opportunity to reach our audience.

Honor Francesca Zambello
Francesca joined the company 12 years ago with a grand vision to enliven Glimmerglass’ summer offerings with a full season of concerts, talks, second stage events and opera for youth, and to reimagine outreach with projects like the company’s now-renowned Attica initiative. She instituted an annual Artist in Residence from her distinguished contacts in the field and expanded the Young Artists Program to include musical-theater singers/dancers, directors and composers, adding to the corps of emerging opera professionals. New works, classic fare with a twist, and innovative ways to experience art and ideas are her hallmark, along with a commitment to what Francesca calls “artistic citizenship,” making Glimmerglass a model of social responsibility in all aspects of its operations.
Join us in sending love and gratitude for all Francesca has done for the Festival by purchasing a Grateful Gram in the Program Book.
You may submit your well wishes to Francesca Zambello below. These submissions will be designed into a graphic at the size you have selected below. You will receive an e-mail from a staff member confirming the copy is correct.
