One of America’s most imaginative, popular, and enduring alternative artists, Natalie Merchant, comes to Glimmerglass to collaborate with Artist-in-Residence, world-renowned countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo.
Together with Young Artists and musicians from the festival, the two award-winning singers explore music from Merchant’s 40-year catalogue, including never-before-heard work and reimagined pieces.
The program celebrates the idea of myth through hymns and chants, both modern and ancient, blending musical storytelling and folk traditions as a way of relating to the world around us.
